16 April

We are confident that the lockdown cannot stand in the way of good and important news. On April 12, representatives of the All-Russia Population Census Media Office held an interview with the famous cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin and demonstrated that the main value of the modern technologies is their ability to bring together people, located in the most remote parts of the Universe.

During the interview, Fyodor Yurchikhin told about his experience of taking part in two population censuses while on orbit and reported that next time cosmonauts at the International Space Station will be able to participate in the census online. The upcoming All-Russia Population Census will employ all the latest technologies to collect information that will allow to make a digital profile of the whole country. Fyodor Yurchikhin also explained why no virus can get to a spacecraft and shared his personal life hacks about living through isolation at the ISS.

* Media Office of the All-Russia Population Census 2020 has been set up by CROS as part of the information campaign to support the survey. The office will become the command and control center for a large-scale communications campaign.
