19 February

The joint communications campaign by the Memory Fund, the GULAG History Museum and CROS in support of the opening ceremony of The Wall of Grief, the first national memorial to political repression victims, won the Silver Archer National Award for Public Relations in the nomination for the best charity project.

The large-scale campaign was executed in the period between October 2016 and October 2017 and included a wide range of activities. Video interviews with the best Russian directors, actors and journalists speaking about the importance of keeping the memory about the innocent victims of repression were filmed along with the documentaries about the creation of the memorial. Pop-up exhibition “The Wall of Grief” travelled across 10 cities of Russia. A series of media events was accompanied by activities in the social media, digital communications, etc. The pinnacle event of the campaign was the official opening ceremony of the memorial with the participation of the top-level national officials.

Congratulations to our colleagues on the execution of this outstanding campaign and the well-deserved award! We are happy to be part of projects of national importance, as well as to continue cooperation with the Memory Fund.
