CROS SUPPORTS MEMORY CONCERT AT THE PASHKOV HOUSE

20 March

Yesterday, the GULAG History Museum and the Memory Fund with information support from the CROS team organized a unique concert “The Concert Library of Repressed Poets” with performance by the A. V. Sveshnikov State Academic Russian Choir. The event was held at the Pashkov House.

The GULAG History Museum and the Memory Fund invited contemporary composers from all over Russia to write music to the poetry of little-known repressed poets to give a new life to the texts that did not become widely popular because of their authorship. According to director of the GULAG History Museum Roman Romanov, the Memory Concert is just another format to work with the topic of repression used by the museum to tell about the tragic moments in our history through music, literature and theater performances. You can learn more about the concert and the links between the past and the present from the “Kultura” TV channel broadcast here.
