On September 10, CROS and Stoloto, the largest distributor of state lotteries in Russia, hosted a press conference which became part of the PR campaign “Russia – a Country of Winners.”

For the first time, Stoloto speakers revealed the official data on the volume of lottery ticket sales in Russia in comparison with international markets and shared their outlook on the industry developments. In the global ranking of countries with the largest lottery sales, Russia holds the 37th place, thus having a strong potential for growth. According to expert estimates, revenues from national lotteries should raise by 22% this year. Meanwhile, only in H1 2019 the total prize fund reached 17.5 bln rubles, 23.46% more compared to the same period a year ago. It was also noted that since 2014 when all lotteries in the country became state-run, 3 652 people won prizes of one million rubles or more and targeted allocations to the federal budget from the lottery industry reached 12.5 bln rubles.
