HEALTHY HEART FESTIVAL WITH GEDEON RICHTER

On September 29, Russia’s first “Healthy Heart Festival” was held at the Botanic Garden of the Moscow State University (Apothecary Garden) in celebration of the World Heart Day.

The event was organized by Gedeon Richter pharmaceutical company, supported by CROS. Several thousands of guests had the opportunity to exercise with the Olympic champion Roman Kostomarov and to learn about the ways to avoid risks of cardiovascular disease development. Moreover, guests also participated in the opening of two unusual “exercise machines” for a healthy heart: the Health Path and the Green Room. The Health Path is a unique for Russia route that goes through the Apothecary Garden. It has the length of 5 000 average steps, the distance one should cover daily to keep his or her heart fit. The Green Room is a hideaway area where visitors can relax and even meditate. The place is surrounded by coniferous plants, producing oils that can relieve stress and headache, relax strained muscles and help in preventing cold-related diseases.
